How Half Marathon & Marathon Training Works

Unlike seasonal programs, our long-distance support is integrated into our year-round run-walk training program.

We do not treat half marathon training as a short-term cycle.
We build it on a foundation of consistent weekly structure.

Each week includes:

• Pace-based interval sessions
• Hill training for strength
• Skill drills for movement efficiency
• Saturday endurance workouts with gradual mileage progression

Your pace group is determined by your current fitness level, often guided by the Magic Mile pace assessment.

As your endurance increases, your pacing strategy evolves with you.

Because we train year-round, you do not lose fitness after a race.

We use pacing strategies aligned with the Galloway run walk chart to support sustainable endurance development.


Marathon & Ultra Support

For members progressing beyond the half marathon, our structured framework supports:

• Marathon preparation
• Destination race goals
• Gradual ultra-distance development (experience dependent)

Ultra training is available for experienced members who are ready for higher mileage progression within a safe, coached structure.
